I was 32, overweight and injured. Long gone were my glory days as a Gold medalist in Athletics. All I could do then was yearned for the day I could run again.
I loved running and I still do but it took me many years of learning and relearning, of going through thousands of Ringgit in medical bills to finally get to where I am today.
My fitness journey started back in 2006, I was working a 9-5 in corporate feeling miserable and wanting to get back my fitness and take control of my health. So with a burst of “passion”, I started working out again. Working through my old injuries, learning from different coaches online and offline. The first few days were great, I felt great, I felt that this was going some where and I was determined to be a healthier version of myself. This “passion” only lasted a few weeks because I failed to plan. I was working out for the sake of working out….I had no goals, no direction and this was the 1st lesson I learnt in my fitness journey.
YOU ALWAYS NEED A PLAN. The second lesson I learnt from this experience was that you need a COMMUNITY to help you achieve your fitness goal. Unless you’re one of the few who has the mental fortitude of a Navy Seal, you will very likely give up if you’re on this journey alone.
Fast forward a few years, I eventually came across METAFIT HIIT and that is where my life really changed. The program is a comprehensive body workout program that not only helped me lose weight, but also allowed me to run again.
